Opening them in the wrong viewer can mean fields that do not respond, answers that vanish on save or characters that turn into boxes. This tool gives you a straightforward way to complete those forms and save a copy that looks right wherever it is opened.
When you add a PDF, the tool reads the interactive fields stored inside it and lists them in a panel, each labeled with the name the form's author gave it. You fill them in one by one, and the answers are written into the real form fields, so the recipient sees them exactly as if you had used a desktop PDF program.
Supported fields and how they appear
- Text fields become simple input boxes. Anything you type, including names, addresses and dates, is placed into the matching field.
- Checkboxes appear as switches. Turn one on to tick the box in the PDF.
- Dropdowns, list boxes and radio groups appear as a selector listing the available options, so you can only choose valid answers.
Field names come from the document itself. Well-built forms use clear names such as FirstName or DateOfBirth, while others use codes. If a label is cryptic, keep the original PDF open in another tab to see where each field sits.
Personal details stay on your computer
Forms tend to collect the most sensitive information people have, such as ID numbers, addresses, income and health history. Here, that information is never sent over the network. The PDF is parsed locally, the answers are applied by code running in your browser tab, and the finished file is generated on your device. No server ever sees what you entered.
When to flatten and what it cannot do
Flattening is a one-way step. With Flatten after filling switched on, the answers become ordinary page content, which prevents casual edits and makes the form display consistently in every viewer. Keep an unflattened copy if you may need to update your answers later.
There are limits worth knowing. The tool fills fields that already exist in the PDF; it cannot create new fields on a form that has none.
