Flip PDF page order from last to first
Reversing a PDF does one thing and does it instantly. It takes the page sequence and turns it around, so a document that reads 10, 9, 8 down to 1 comes out reading 1 through 10. There are no options to set and no ranges to type. Add the file, press the button, download.
That simplicity is the point. When a scan comes out backwards, you do not want to drag forty thumbnails into place one by one.
Why PDFs end up backwards
The most common culprit is scanning. Sheet feeders pull paper from the top of the stack, and depending on whether the originals were loaded face up or face down, the resulting file can start with the final page. Flatbed scanning a stack from the bottom up has the same effect.
Other situations where reversing helps:
- Duplex workarounds. When a scanner only captures one side, people often scan all front sides, flip the stack and scan the backs. The second batch then runs in reverse. Reverse that file before interleaving the pages.
- Printed stacks. Some printers output pages face up, which leaves the last page on top. Printing a reversed file can put the stack in reading order.
- Chronological records. Statements or logs exported newest first can be flipped to read oldest first.
- Photo books and portfolios. Reverse a sequence to try a different storytelling order quickly.
Tips before and after reversing
Check whether only part of your file is backwards. If a single chunk is out of order, reversing the whole document will break the parts that were correct. In that case, isolate the section with Split PDF, reverse just that piece, and join everything back up with Merge PDF.

Your document never leaves the device
The reversal is computed on your machine. When you open the page, your browser downloads a small JavaScript PDF engine, and that engine reads your file, copies its pages in the opposite order and produces the new PDF entirely in local memory. No part of the document is posted to a server, stored in the cloud or seen by anyone else.
Once the page is loaded, the tool also works without a network connection, which is useful on trains, planes and locked-down office networks.
What this tool does not do
It does not reverse the text on a page or mirror images. It only changes the order in which pages appear. It works on one PDF at a time, up to 200 MB, and outline bookmarks may not come through the reordering intact.
